A Royal aide-turned-killer takes centre stage in brand-new ITV drama, The Lady.
The upcoming four-part series, based on a true story, will see Mia McKenna-Bruce star as Jane Andrews – a woman who worked her way up into Buckingham Palace before landing in prison for murder.

Not afraid to graft to get what she wants, working class Jane gets the break of a lifetime when she’s hired as the dresser for Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York (Natalie Dormer).
Working alongside the Duchess for nine years, Jane gets an inside look at the upper echelons of British society as she does so.
But after losing her job after nine years, Jane’s life later takes a disastrous and deadly turn when she falls in love with Thomas Cressman, a charming businessman.
With Jane making no secret of her hopes of seeing marriage and a family in her future with Cressman, things turn sour when it becomes clear he does not entirely feel the same.
In real life, Jane ended up serving 14 years in prison for Cressman’s murder – when a heated argument in 2000 resulted in his tragic death.
Shining a spotlight on the price of ambition, class and identity, The Lady is the latest series from Left Bank Pictures, the producers of The Crown.
The Lady comes to ITV1 in 2026.
