‘Peaky Blinders’ movie confirms title and teases first details

The long-anticipated Peaky Blinders movie finally has a title – with Netflix sharing a first look at Cillian Murphy back in his flat cap as Tommy Shelby.

Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man is heading to cinemas on March 6th before dropping on Netflix on March 20th, and sees a time-jump into 1940 – with Britain in the throes of the Second World War.

According to the official synopsis: “Amidst the chaos of WWII, Tommy Shelby is driven back from a self-imposed exile to face his most destructive reckoning yet.

“With the future of the family and the country at stake, Tommy must face his own demons, and choose whether to confront his legacy, or burn it to the ground.

“By order of the Peaky Blinders…”

The film, directed by Tom Harper and written by Steven Knight, will see new and old faces join the Shelbys’ world.

Sophie Rundle will be back as Tommy’s sister Ava, and Stephen Graham is returning as Hayden Stagg.

New additions include Rebecca Ferguson (Dune, A House of Dynamite), Tim Roth (Reservoir Dogs, The Hateful Eight) and Barry Keoghan (Saltburn, The Banshees of Inisherin).

Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man premieres in cinemas from March 6th and launches March 20th on Netflix.
