Albert Square is about to welcome a new face with Ronni Ancona officially joining EastEnders.
The actress, who previously shot to fame for her spot-on impersonations of EastEnders characters in sketch show The Big Impression, will be joining the cast as Bea.
Little is currently known about Bea or her past – only that she once went to school with Linda Carter.
On joining the cast of EastEnders, Ronni said: “I am honoured to have been invited to the iconic institution that is EastEnders, and to go on this whirlwind of a journey with such an unpredictable, nuance and complex characters as Bea.
“I hope audiences have as much fun watching her as I have had bringing her to life.”
Bea will make her first appearance on the Square in the new year, with Ronnie having already started filming.
She will have a run in with Linda during their high school reunion, when it becomes clear they have very different memories of life at school together.
The official teaser added: “As Bea settles into Walford, she soon finds herself in the heart of the drama, and whilst little is currently known about her backstory, she is sure to leave a lasting impression on all those she encounters…”
