Netflix has dropped the trailer for People We Meet on Vacation and we’re already falling in love.

The story, based on the book by Emily Henry, sees Tom Blyth (The Hunger Games: Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes) and Emily Bader (My Lady Jane) play two best friends who don’t realise they may be each others’ perfect match.

Friends for more than 10 years, the duo are worlds apart in every way – including literally, with them spending most of their time living in different cities.

While Poppy is the free-spirited “wing it” type, Alex is someone who enjoys following itineraries and routines.

The pair decide to go on holiday together every summer – heading off on once-in-a-lifetime trips and embracing everything that offers.

But over time, as their feelings grow, they begin to realise that there may be more to their friendship than just being good travel buddies.

The true adventure is whether or not they decide to act on it.

People We Meet on Vacation launches January 9th on Netflix.
