Melanie Blatt has been announced as the second celebrity joining this year’s Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special.

The All Saints singer was confirmed to be joining the one-off festive special while appearing on Scott Mills’ BBC Radio 2 show.

She will be partnered with pro Kai Widdrington for her Christmas routine, which will air across the Christmas period.

On joining Strictly Come Dancing this Christmas, Melanie Blatt said: “If you can’t have a dance at Christmas, when can you?!

“I’m so excited to meet Kai and start training to make this a dance to remember.”  

Since being a singer in All Saints, Melanie has become a cook and launched her own gourmet burger business. She also reached the finals of Celebrity Masterchef.

Most recently she spoke about her time in All Saints on BBC Documentary, Girlbands Forever.

Melanie joins Scarlett Moffatt on this year’s line-up, with four more celebs set to be confirmed this week on Strictly’s spin-off chat show, It Takes Two.

The Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer this Christmas.
