Sara Cox’s is bringing the heartwarming vibes to our tellies with new factual TV series, The Marvellous Miniature Workshop.

The BBC Radio 2 favourite will host the new series, which follows craftmakers who aim to capture cherished places and moments of sentimental history in miniature form.

Exploring the stories and rich cultural history behind each place, with professional modelmakers recreating these moments with accuracy and love.

In the first episode of the series, Sara Cox and miniaturist Hannah recreate Manchester’s Crumpsall Library for Leah, a retired social worker who met her late husband there as a teenager.

Though the library now lies derelict, Hannah’s intricate model — parquet floors, stained glass and even Neil’s school cap — brings back its splendour and the love story at its heart.

The eight-part show will air across two weeks, airing Mondays to Thursdays.

For those who can’t wait, the show will be available as a box set from 1st December.

The Marvellous Miniature Workshop starts Monday 1st December at 2pm on BBC One. All episodes will be available on BBC iPlayer on the same day.
