They will be joining Alexandra Burke and Sarah Parish in the twisted tale of a dystopian future.

In the six-part series, which is an adaptation of Jayne Cowie’s Novel After Dark, Curfew is based in a society governed by ‘The Women’s Safety Act’ where men are tracked by ankle tag and confined to their homes by a strict curfew from 7pm every night.

When a woman’s body is discovered brutally murdered during curfew hours, veteran Police officer Pamela Green (Parish) believes a man must be responsible.

But in a world where men are bound by the curfew system, if Pamela proves a man committed this murder she could bring The Women’s Safety Act crashing down.

As a result, powerful forces are determined to make the curfew a success and will do whatever it takes to silence Pamela in her relentless pursuit of the truth.

Bobby Brazier will portray James, a vocal schoolboy advocating for the abolishment of the curfew, whilst Anita Dobson will star as Janet, who runs a ‘motherhouse’, a refuge-style home for women that don’t want to cohabit with men.

Also joining the ensemble cast for is Tommy McDonnell (Alice & Jack), Adam Korson (This Is Us), Amy Louise Pemberton (DC’s Legends of Tomorrow), Imogen Sandhu (Casualty), James Craven (Coronation Street), Selorm Adonu (Man to Man) and newcomer Raphael D’Alterio.
