‘The Big Cigar’ – What you need to know about new Apple TV+ show

One of the wildest stories involving the Black Panther movement is about to come to life.

In the six-part Apple TV+ series, viewers are invited to learn about Huey P. Newton – and his incredible elaborate plot to get himself out of the USA to safety.

The Big Cigar synopsis:

Based on the magazine article of the same name by Joshuah Bearman, who also serves as executive producer, The Big Cigar tells the incredible true story of Hollywood revolution meeting social revolution.

It’s a wild caper about Black Panther founder Huey P. Newton escaping from the FBI to Cuba.

Getting assistance of famed producer Bert Schneider as part of an impossibly elaborate plan involving a fake movie production, the group’s mission goes wrong every way it possibly can.
