‘Fleabag’ star Sian Clifford joins ‘Everyone Else Burns’ as season 2 starts filming

Sian Clifford, star of Quiz and Fleabag, has joined the cast of Everyone Else Burns in a key role as filming commences on season two.

The sitcom, starring Simon Bird (The Inbetweeners), Kate O’Flynn (Landscapers), Amy James-Kelly (Military Wives) and Harry Connor (Robin and the Hoods), as the God-fearing Lewis family, is currently shooting in Manchester.

All four lead stars will return to their roles, with Clifford playing Maude, an imposing new member of The Order, the puritanical Christian sect to which the Lewis’s are devoted to.

Maude’s warped take on domesticity will upend Fiona’s (O’Flynn) worldview and threaten to lead David (Bird) astray.

Also returning for the new episodes are: Morgana Robinson (The Windsors) as Melissa, Ali Khan (A Haunting in Venice) as Joshua, Arsher Ali (Funny Woman) as Elder Samson, Al Roberts (Stath Lets Flats) as Elder Abijah, Kadiff Kirwan (Slow Horses) as Andrew, Soph Galustian (Rye Lane) as Julia, and Liam Williams (Ladhood) as Joel.

Series two will challenge the family’s commitment to The Order more than ever before as Rachel’s (James-Kelly) drive for independence is threatened by arranged marriage and cracks widen between David and Fiona.

Meanwhile, Aaron (Connor) will launch a revolutionary bid to drag The Order into the present day (with, and in spite of, his dad’s help).

The series will air on Channel 4 later this year.

Everyone Else Burns season one is available to stream now on Channel 4.
