Steve Martin’s 50-year career to be celebrated in two-hour documentary

Steve Martin, one of the most beloved comedians of all-time, is to have his 50-year career celebrated in a new, two-part documentary.

The Apple TV+ special, STEVE! (martin) a documentary in 2 pieces, splits the star’s life in two – “Then” and “Now”.

The official synopsis states the documentary will feature: “Raw insights into Steve’s personal and professional trials and triumphs” with never-before-seen footage of the star, and personal interviews from both him and co-stars from across his life.

Part on, “Then”, will track Martin’s struggle for recognition through to his meteoric success as a stand-up comedian – a career he walked away from when he was 35 years old.

“Now” follows him in the present day, retracing the transformation that led to happiness in his art and personal life as he enters the golden era at the age of 78.

The stars who have participated in the documentary to celebrate Martin’s impact in Hollywood include his Only Murders In The Building co-stars Martin Short and Selena Gomez, actor Finn Wittrock, Saturday Night Live album Tina Fey, Jerry Seinfeld, Eric Idle, and his Father Of The Bride co-star Diane Keaton.
