Oscar-nominee Lily Gladstone will turn cop in her next upcoming project, Under The Bridge – with first look pics teasing the sure-to-be devastating retelling of a Canadian murder.

The Hulu limited series, based on the book by late author Rebecca Godfrey, will track the 1997 true crime story of the death of Reena Virk.

Reena, who was 14 at the time of her killing, went to join friends at what she thought was a party, but was beaten to death on a bridge by attendees.

Five girls and one boy, all of whom teenagers, were tried and convicted of her murder, which was technically ruled ‘forcible drowning’ – despite medical examiners saying she had already suffered head injuries so severe they alone would have killed her.

Gladstone plays a local police officer who investigates the death, while Keough plays a fictional version of Godfrey, whose efforts to look into the case found her immersed in the world herself.

Joining Gladstone and Keough to round out the cast is Vritika Gupta, Chloe Guidry, Javon “Wanna” Walton, Izzy G., Aiyana Goodfellow, Ezra Faroque Khan and Archie Panjabi.

Under the Bridge premieres with two episodes on April 17, with new episodes launching weekly on Hulu.
