Tom Hiddleston turns Attenborough with first look trailer of new documentary series, ‘Earthsounds’

Tom Hiddleston is lending his voice to a new 12-part Apple TV+ documentary series, Earthsounds.

According to the synopsis, the new series, filmed over 1,000 days across three and half years, reveals our planet like never before.

It reads: “A world buzzing with unexpected, unfamiliar and untold sonic stories that we have never been able to capture – until now. ”

Filmed across 20 countries on all seven continents, the show aims to documents the animal kingdom in ‘brand new ways’ thanks to state-of-the-art technology.

This includes infiltrating habitats like the Queensland rainforest, Antarctic ice shelf and Namibian dunes – with fresh discoveries and rarely seen/heard material from animals.

Among the footage will be musical spiders and snow leopards singing love songs.

Hiddleston said at the announcement: “I loved narrating Earthsounds. Offspring Films and Apple TV+ have created something totally unique.

“To see, and hear, the natural world in such extraordinary, intimate detail is utterly thrilling. It inspires wonder and awe.”

Earthsounds premieres all episodes on February 23 on Apple TV+.
