‘Trying’ is back on Apple TV+ – but is looking a little different with a huge time jump for season four.

The heartwarming comedy will see Nikki (Esther Smith) and Jason (Rafe Spall) handling their adopted family six years since we last saw them.

At the end of season three, the loved-up couple finally got the family they were craving for after adopting brother and sister, Princess and Tyler.

But now Princess is hitting her teenage years, and some of the more difficult questions after coming their way.

Thankfully, their family and friends remain there to be their unmatched support network through tricky (and often hilarious) moments.

But as Princess starts to yearn for a connection with her birth mother, Nikki and Jason find themselves confronted with the ultimate test of their parenting skills. 

Joining the cast this season is Scarlett Rayner as Princess, and Cooper Turner as Tyler. 

Sian Brooke returns as Karen, and Darren Boyd returns as Scott.

Season four has been confirmed to return with the first two episodes on Wednesday, May 22, with new episodes every Wednesday through July 3.
