‘It’s A Sin’s’ Callum Scott Howells leads Michael Sheen’s intense BBC drama, ‘The Way’

James Graham (writer of Quiz and Sherwood), has teamed up with Michael Sheen for a brand new three-part BBC drama.

The three-part series, starring Luke Evans (Good Grief, Beauty and The Beast), Callum Scott Howells (It’s A Sin), Steffan Rhodri (Gavin and Stacey, House of the Dragon) will focus on a family in the midst of a rebellion.

The synopsis reads: “Ambitious, powerful and surprising, The Way imagines a family caught up in a civil uprising which begins in their small industrial town.

“Fleeing unrest, the Driscolls are forced to escape the country they’ve always called home and the certainties of their old lives.

“Will they be overwhelmed by their memories of the past, or will they lay their ghosts to rest and take the risk of an unknown future?

“With wit and powerful emotion, The Way taps into the chaos of today’s world through the fictional story of an ordinary family caught up in an extraordinary chain of events.”

Rounding out the cast is Mali Harries, Michael Sheen, Sophie Melville, Maja Laskowska, Tom Cullen, Dany Sapani, Mark Lewis Jones, Paul Rhys, Erin Richards and Aneurin Barnard. 

The Way starts on BBC One on Monday 19 February at 9pm and airs weekly, or is available in full on BBC iPlayer from 6am the same day.
